hey June 19th just happens to be my birthday, I don't allow bad things to happen on my birthday...so he will be better.. thats the way I want it.
I'm teary from the honest heart-felt love here. We're all pullin for ya man. Take the time it takes and dont let the frustration getcha. The HAMB is a wonderful place. All thoughts and prayers.
My dad had a stoke about 15 yrs ago. A close family friend about the same age as my dad had a stroke at about the same time. Both had very similar strokes in terms of loss of use of their arms and legs temporarily. 15 yrs later my dad is as healthy as a 83yr old can be. He walks and has comlete mobility with no slurred speech at all. The other guy never got out of his wheel chair and died a short while later. What was the difference? FAITH, PRAYER, PERSONAL DRIVE, and HOPE. My prayers are with your family.
Thanks for keeping it open for a little while longer Ryan, We are all like family on here. In my opinion, it's one of the greatest sites on the net, Thanks again for maintaining such a great place! - Breeze Brian - Get well Soon ! We are all here for you!
My Dad had a light stroke June 20th, early am. He has some weakness in his left arm and leg, but his speech and thoughts are ok. My heart goes out to you, good luck.
Thank You for all of your support and prayers. Brian is getting better every day. He is up walking with assistance, his speech is much better, and his arm and hand is improving also. He has trouble telling how tight he is holding on to something, the motor skills are not quite there yet. He has exercised his hand so much, that it is now a little sore from doing the exercises. But he is not complaining, He is trying his best to improve. He will appreciate all of your thoughts when he reads the posts. Again, Thank You for everything. He still has a long way to go, and tomorrow he will go to the rehabilitation center. They are saying 5 hours of therapy every day. It will be tiring, but he is anxious to start. Our prayers are with you. Keep a positive attitude, our son lost his right arm and leg in a work related accident last year but has a positive attitude and is doing fine.
Awesome! Thats great news! Had to work late tonight so I didnt get a chance to come by. Will call tomorrow to find out what room and stop by on my way home. Be good my friend! Larry
Hope your boy comes good soon, for his sake and his families. My thoughts are with you guy's too,as there would be nothing worse than your Kids falling ill. Take Care.
Thank You for all your thoughts and prayers. Brian is doing better, and he was moved to a rehabilitation center today. He has made progress, but there is quite a ways to go. He still is having problems with the motor skills, but we know that he can make it. Your thoughts and prayers mean so much to Brian and our family. Dusty was just telling Brian's daughter about the prayers that have came from the members of the HAMB. She smiled really big, and said that's for my Daddy, every one is so nice to him. We do appreciate everything. Thank You Wanda and Dusty flamed58
Sending prayers for a quick recovery for your son...God Bless and keep the faith....God still answers them daily....
That is great to hear Flamed58. Keep us updated on Brian and let us know how he is doing. All the best to him and family and friends. Any place we can send him some cards?
Don't think that this can not happen to you. Too often people with no red flags in their life, like high blood pressure, high cholesterol, smoker, etc have strokes. A few weeks ago I had a Mini Stroke (TIA), and still not back 100%. Worst thing is that I have lost most of the sense of taste, and my tongue always feels like I just burned it with a hot cup of coffee or something. May take a year for things to be "normal". Was just getting ready for bed and left side of my body went numb. Dial 911 immediately!!! Keep current with health care provider. A major stroke can wipe you out for life.
