Google answered my question. I used to live in Savannah and this place was a weekly thing for me and my crew.

Well this used to be the place to cruise when I was young. Dog n Suds, Lorain Ohio.

But not anymore. So now it's just a tradition for me and the wife to go to once a year.

This place has been there since I was a kid. They still make homemade root beer in frosted mugs and still have CAR HOPS. (young women in short skirts)

No pix to post, but around Green Country, you can't beat half price burger baskets on Monday at Boomerang! The shakes are thick and the waitresses are cute , best burgers by far!

  17. Freds Old fashion burgers in El Cajon, Ca

  18. Telfords Warehouse in Chester (UK) - down at the canal basin. Built in 1790 by Thomas Telford, the building was constructed partly over the canal to allow boats to be located and unloaded from the full height of the loading bay within the building.

It's now a restaurant, bar and live music venue (a small venue but some very big stars have played there).

The burgers are made on the premises and the thrice cooked fries are excellent. The fish and chips are worth a go as well. Try the Rib Eye Steak with Paris Butter.

Sad to say--Top Hat Burger Palace is no more! Asshole landlord decide to not renew the lease--just so they can claim some "tax-benefit" crap.It is the end of an era--place was there since 1966,and was makin' money--close a business that was thriving --pissed alot of people off!

Jerry's Drive-In Fort Lauderdale - demolished in the '70s - the only photograph in existence!

(unless somebody else has one - I'd like to see it)

Burgers were just so-so, but you didn't go there for the food...

Yep, the Awful Awful with all those greasy fries is awesome!! There have been times where I'm in Reno and I've gone to grab an awful awful for lunch and dinner on the same day:D The Awful Awful (as in awful big, awful good) was served at all of the Nugget Casinos starting back in the 50's so it's definitely traditional!
