Projects Out Of Hibernation - 55 Chev

Perfect!!!

 

Took the 55 to our local weekly cruise last night for the first time and actually saw the previous owners brother who originally installed the red interior which was done back in the 70's! He hadn't seen the car since it was sold to my dad back in the late 80's. He came up and shook my hand saying how glad he was to see it again and that it was still in such good condition... Pretty cool him sharing memories of his own of the car.

Thank you... its kind of funny to me all of the compliments I have received on the car over the last couple of weeks since its been back on the road. I guess I kind of just took it for granted and forgot how cool the car actually was all those years it just sat in my dad's garage!

I'm hoping to make it to our area's local Nostalgia Dragway Reunion this upcoming weekend. Not planning on making any kind of p***es down the track as I still am working out some of the little bugs, but I am hoping for some good photo-ops at the Christmas Tree or staging lanes!

Great to see another "Family Heirloom" ! Mine isn't that nice but most of the parts to put mine on the road are from my dads 55 in high school. Next will be building the original but potent little 265 from it ! Your car is nice and clean ! Is there any other car but a 55 Chevy !?!?! LOL !

Don't know how I missed this thread. Love the car!! I kept trying to get him to trade it for my white 56 when I was working on it but no luck.
