Out the weekend on the east coast Great Yarmouth for the NSRA Fun run, it's the 45th year. I bumped into another little commercial old truck show on the sea front. So I couldnt resist taking a picture. My favourite picture though is the one of the COE outside the derelict pub.
Thanks for the photos posts. Gives me ideas for our 47 Ford C.O.E. for sure. While I intend to maintain much of the patina the old gal earned during her life as a tow truck I like those "black pants" and the two tone scheme period! Any chance you saw and photographed a Commer/Karrier crew cab/four door, '56 vintage? I have one of those also, although I will likely be selling it. I was going to jump ship from the 47 to the 56, but the Ford kept drawing me back and I made the commitment to finish it. As I have a Willy's Jeepster Phaeton I am working on for my wife as well, I am realizing that I am getting too old to keep stockpiling projects. A few photos of nice restored/modded Karrier crewcabs might ultimately help me sell this beauty.
Spagscot, we need to see some pics of the Commer 4 door please. Always interested in the oddball stuff...
RMR&C ... Yes, I will need to take some photos and post. I am going to be at my off grid rec property for a bit then I will get to it, but if the wife has a chance I will ask her to speed that up.
A Karrier 4 door Crewcab would be like rocking horse poo! Whilst we had lots of Karriers in Australia I've never seen or heard of a 4 door Crewcab. Even Google struggled. Please some photos would be most interesting.
