Nice G***er. Glad you are staying with the old lacquer paint job but those front tires do look a little fat from any perspective.

Did you have to pay the freight on the new wheels that the trad nazi's bought to replace your original wheels?

I love it ... does the four wheel drive work?

Just kiddin, they don't look bad at all. I would've gone narrower but there will be things on my car people would do different too.

Actually I was lucky! There is a guy down the street building a "G***er" and he told me that he was going to put "wheels just like your's" on it. He must never visit the HAMB.

So I sold the Rockets to him for just a few bucks less than I had paid.

I picked them up at Summit, they said they can't keep them in stock, go figure!

Then with all the money that has been sent via Pay Pale by the folks that didn't like the Rockets I had enought to pick up this old used pair of Americans.

Now it seems that I need to sell these new radials and buy some old used biased ply tires!

Dunno, mabe because that was most probably the worse car movie ever made?
I'm still wondering why you care what the hell anyone else thought of your wheels, if you liked them? Not many of the tri five g***ers I ever saw back in the day had any type of mag wheel on them. Some had chromes, but most not. I guess maybe more guys had mags on the west coast...

I guess I'm just a provokative SOB! ;) Surely you have met people who couldn't rest until everyone agreed with their opinion on everything.

I'll admit it it, I'm a ten spoke hater. I think it looks way better. I always thought a 56 was the best year tri-five not too plain and not too gaudy.

  17. There's no way the Two Lane 55 had 235/75s on the front. I'll admit, the tires on the Two Lane 55 are big, but, not 235/75 big. Also, the Two cars sit completely different. I like your 56, and I think you're close to perfect, but I agree, I'd drop a few tire sizes. Maybe a 225/60 or 215/65.

right on. The 55 sits lower and those front tires have a lower profile so it works perfect. The front tires on your 56 looks like they belong out back.

Like most, I like your ride, my choice of tire size, if asked would be a 165-80 x15, will give your ride a way better look and drive plenty fine round corners to, good luck Wayne
