Outrider Picnic 2011

Anybody in SoCal heading to the Outrider Picnic this Sunday?
I understand tickets have been pretty hard to get!

 

Tickets are always hard to get and I don't have any this year Pity because this is one of my all time favorite shows and I am only four miles away. It's just like the old time Sunday shows in the park used to be - no trophies, no at***udes, live surf band, plenty of good door prizes and a giant raffle, great tri tip BBQ and the Outriders are always gracious hosts. So if anyone has tickets they're not using, this is a brazen and shameless plug for first dibs....

 

I'm only going because my friends wife can't go...my supplier didn't come through this year. In my opinion...the best show of the year!

I had 2 extra tickets last Sunday- gone now.

 

I've been going for years but the guy I used to get tickets from is no longer with us. R.I.P. Bob

My kids won the 50/50 once (my tickets) about $1500.00 many yrs ago. It was at
Bob Andersons that yr, before the Dunes. My Daughter and her Husband will drive
the 57 out this year. Gave my tickets to a friend.

It's a nice deal for sure.

My uncles an Outrider and I have only been once. It was a good time for sure. When ever I aske him about tickets, They are already gone?

32gal and I will be there, i will be in my Coupe and 32gal will be in her roadster

 

I'm heading up tomorrow in the Jet with HAMB member Blackout. I was fortunate enough to scavange a couple of invites... I haven't attended in a few years, is 8:30 a.m. too early to show up?

8:30 is not too early I'm sure. To get the good parking places I'm sure some are

There is not a bad spot anywhere...the guys are pretty cool about parking and no h***les. Your good at 8:30...thats the time i'm rolling in as well.

I ran into a few OFC members- Jay, Ed & a few I don't recall their names- oh and Phill Whetstone. I was really looking forward to this. Got up early & was a bit under the weather. I arrived at about 7:15am, parked & walked around. I got to feeling worse & worse. Tried a Sprite to settle the stomach- no go. Tried beer too. Better but I still was struggling. Wound up leaving early. I think I took a whopping 10 pics. I'll let someone post pics. Several hours after I was home- I remembered I had a pocketfull of raffle tickets. Duh!

 

Steve , it was good seeing you there , and had I known that you were feeling bad , I would have gotten you one of the ****** Marys that my buddy Keith was mixing up . They're good for what ails you !

 

32gal and I had a great day..............the tri-tip was excellent. Band was great. Enjoyed chatting with a lot of old friends. Sorry, didnt take any pics, but i am sure someone did............

 

Jay (Blackout), and I were in front of you in the beer line, talking to you about Stan Betz. Nice to finally put a couple of faces to the cars...
