Weeks holiday is almost up, shit!!
Pete finished welding the chassis up completely ready for powder coating. This included trying to tidy up the existing engine mounts
and welding in 10mm threaded bungs to mount the body back down.

A couple more in case you're not fed up looking at them
inside blasted and etch primed (personally love the finish and if I could find a real paint finish like this I'd be sold) looks better in the flesh

The bulkhead had to be painted so after a lot of deliberation this morning at the local Carparts I went with Terry Wogan Beige

Lovely, nowt wrong with Beige, you're almost eligible to join the Beige Model A Club - currently two members. A bit more Beige and we'll let you join.

Started bolting stuff back onto the car today, so I guess we're on the home straight!
Pete's managed to take the bend out of the offside rear wishbone which is great news.
Rear axle is going off to be stripped and the quick change bolted in, should have it back in a couple of weeks by which time the chassis should be back from powder coating and the fun can begin...

Have been subscribed to this thread since the start. Thoroughly enjoying the craftsmanship, traditional styling and most important.. your attitude. Posts of work accomplished and posts of responses are stated clearly and respectful.
The cross member and body mounts are particularly sweet.

Have to admit to one thing that baffled this Cleveland Ohio writer, Terry Wogan beige ? I understand the beige part...What is a Terry Wogan ? !

    All the best,

Nice way of putting it Nick, I was just gonna say he has a huge following of the beige cardigan wearing older generation.

This will be the last update for a while, I start back at work and will only get weekends on the Coupe now, frustrating as hell because it's so close.
These photos were taken on friday and show the interior steelwork bolted in. Pete thinks that the rolled pan may be from a '28, '29 A because none of the holes lined up and it took a lot of tweaking before it wanted to go in. Had to hole saw two openings to allow the Pontiac taillights to clear.

Collected 2 French cutout motors for Pete and Damon's race car builds!! The future's bright, the future is sidevalve! <!-- google_ad_section_end -->

I think its more hearing aid beige than Terry Wogan. Either way looks fantastic. Just need to do the rest, sod the dents and stuff.

Now I understand Terry Wogan a bit better, thanks for the youtube introduction. Looks like he is a class act and I'm guessing that Sir Terry might not a Hot Rodder.

Heading back out to the snowblower and the world of my garage.
