  1. Is it me or is the world still living in some kind of altered reality?? I'm kind of tiered of seeing overpriced rotten cars for sale!! These people seem to think because it's worth alot when it's cherrie that it's worth a lot when it's all rotten to hell!! I saw a homade 36 3 window for sale down the street from my shop for sale for sixteen thousand!!! There was nothing left to the car!! For real???? Everything from the door handles down needed to be replaced!! I have a small restoration/hot rod shop and it looks to me like it would be about 25000 in sheet metal work!!!

He has a point. There are those that feel their "stuff" is worth a whole lot more than it actually is worth. Then they sit and talk to their buddied about how stupid the rest of us are for not buying their overpriced "stuff" and ask "i wonder why it wont sell". Then when it doesnt sell, they dall back on the old adage...thats alright they just dont know what i have here (the whole time complaining that its not selling). Hey genius... Cojld be because youve priced a 1932 almost complete truck, except for the motor and the feame and the engine and some rust in most of the truck, at the same price as a new freakin challenger.

In all honesty most people set their prices with some haggling room. I actually wish I was in a much better position to be buying stuff right now instead of needing to sell almost everything. Recent years have been abit tough, colon cancer in 2007, managed to recover health and finances after that. last April the place I used to work closed down after I worked there almost 18 years. Then my dughter spent nearly 10 weeks in the hospital this last fall. Hope to still have my project car at the end of all of this. So i guesse overpriced depends on your position and priorities. Just curious if you still needed the 23-28 Chev trans parts we discussed last summer. If not they will be on e-bay next week. Rod

Yuppers, they see one that is similar go across the block and bring 30K so their hulk has to be worth 16K because it is almost the same model. Never mind that the guy who just sold his for 30K put 70K in it four years ago, put it on the show circuit for one sason and hit the road for two seasons of serious rod running and is now ready for a new car because everyone who is anyone has already seen his car.

The guys trying to get exorbitant prices out of what are basically hulks have either spent way too many days and nights with a Bud lite in their hands while being in a bull **** session with the local "experts" (guys with at least 100 hrs of tv auction watching time in) or are just hoping the hell that some ****er will happen by with more money than sense and make a deal on the thing.

I can understand that, which is scary. Also I have a bunch of T axles alot cheaper than those. Rod

  22. Rod,

I apologize for not getting back to you- will not be needing those parts after all.

    Larry,

Just for you- seems like Dharma would be the life-long bridesmaid as well...

it amazes me most think its yrs ago when stuff was up there in price cause everybody had a job and could aford it if you want to sell something today it has to be in the price range that people can aford, prices on here and ebay just make me laugh, cause lots of them have been on for more than a yr, think they'ed figure out why its not selling, and yes i know some are worth alot , but people can't aford ,now so if you need money ,thats cash, your most likey lose money, but ,if you got to have cash ,talked enought you know the answer, happy motoring

A guy I know has his car listed at a really high price. His wife wants him to sell it, but he doesn't really want to. Get it?

"Honey, you know I've been trying to sell it"!
