  1. Somewhere in this world there is someone who will pay the asking price. There is also someone who will pay half the asking price and think they stole it. If the seller can find either of those ****ers, he wins.

Barrett-Jackson Syndrome. never mind that the cars on there are clean as a whistle; do***ented rebuilds or new builds, by KNOWN shops and don't (usually) have ANY issues to tackle before you can drive them off the pad..... old George McFeely down the street has a '58 Biscayne 6 cyl 3 speed that he took the carb off of back in '69 and never put it back, he's only asking 8 thousand because you can still see three of five lug nuts on each wheel where they've sunk into the yard.... and you can have the family of possums that live in the trunk for FREE.... because Old George saw a '58 Impala with a tripower 348 and 'glide go for 16 thousand, he's thinking he's giving you a great deal. just, for safety's sake, get a tet**** shot before you go look at it.

I would recommend that if the price is too high don't buy it.

I quit watching B-J years ago for this very reason. But I'm thinking more and more about resuming viewing it.
But only to see who's advertising on the show so I can send the CEO an email saying I ain't buying his **** because he advertises on B-J.

the part that upsets me I guess is the "american way" now is to screw the guy next you. It seems that we are always p***ing the buck on to the next guy. That just bothers me.

we all like to make a little bread and I know that ***holes couldn't sell this stuff if some ding dong out there with more $ than sense wasn't buyin it, but it just ****s.

esp when people wait till stuff is growing back into the earth from whence it came to start asking top $ for it.

but then again I have been trying to give away a rust free, factory big block, rare, low #'s, 2 dr hard top for about 8 months now to no avail.

    so hell if I know.

"Worth" is only a word of perspective.....nothing is "worth" more than what you get for it.
If it's "worth" $100.00 to you, and you only get $10.00 for it, then it was only "worth" $10.00.

Since the vehicle is located down the street from you possibly they are dangling it, testing the waters see how much YOU might offer. How often the owners see little value in an old car on their property until someone shows an interest in it and then the damn thing is worth a fortune!

Unfortunately in this day and age some folks (seems more now than ever) have more $$$ than common sense, as well as watch too much TV (like Barret-Jackson)....and make some ridiculous purchases that get publicized.
Sooooo.....way too many guys/gals are shooting for the moon on selling their stuff.....
Too bad, but I guess that is life......However I would like to see some actual facts on these dumb dumb prices as to what they actually sell for, if they sell at all!
    JMHO,
    Cheers..
