I think Jim has 2 Pile O' Parts projects one trending being a 34 and that may have confused the shared examples...
I'm pretty sure the point of some of these posts is to share cars built in a traditional over-the-top style. At least that was my point. I think we can all infer how a '32 would look when built in the style of a given A or '33/34.
Inspiration possibilities can be found in the most unlikely places. Besides, I'll post a photo of the Super Bell coupe at the drop of a hat!
Not a 3 window, and not over the top. But I say go ahead, chop and channel those parts. I'm just finishing this one after needing a rebuild after 50 years Somebody has to be different...again.
"Over the top." Hmmm... What if, not so much over-the-top style-wise, but so over-the-top traditional that it just oozes nostalgia. And I mean in every little detail... in ways that not many will appreciate except the initiated. Something like the coupe that Stogy posted... the early version of Andy K***a's 3W. Built in a style that we don't often see anymore. I like fenderless hot rods, but it seems we used to see more full-fendered cars. And with front tires near to or the same size as the rears. Not so low in front, looking all street-roddy. Headlights in the the original position on a stock bar. And way too much chrome. Like an early show car, I guess. A real time machine.
This is I believe a nod to the Icebox...could be wrong. Icebox was 33 or 4 though but twinned in styling... Love It!!
...the paper under the ch***is takes away from this Wild Thing...maybe it was setup time and the Angel Hair wasn't there yet... 32 Wild...65 perhaps? Credit to Photographer, Owner
Rickybop that C***a Coupe was a Show Rod/Hotrod at that time and still would be a Jawdropper...that Coupe has been an evolving Artform of Hotrod crossing several Hamb Periods looking Cl*** A in every one of them as Andy had a Polished Eye for Hotrod a clone of that would be very fitting...
An Ice Box was an earlier possible influence through Rodding and Restyling little mags... ...this thing is Wild Cool But a 33 or 4
That has a wild set of pipes out the back if it's the one I'm thinking of...lots of chrome many influencers being money, fun, notarity and Showcars and all in between...late 50s into mid 60s...golden...
Nice to see some variation. Forgive me if I really like the current interpretation of traditional 32s. I realize in the old days the investment was no where near what it is today, maybe that is why there were so many interpretations of the iconic body style.
