Overdrive tranny question

I have a 3spd overdrive trans. from a 53 F100 Pick-up and was thinking of putting it behind my 8BA in a Deuce coupe, anyone run one of these? is this a good or bad choice? What do you run that your happy with? Car will be open wheel.

I have installed 3spd O/D's in quite a few cars. It only makes them more driveable. Can't say about your particular car, but the owners of the cars I have done still talk about how well they perform, years after the modification.

I have one for sale on here right now. They're good ******s. Great outa the hole, o/d smooths it right out. That would be a great mod for the flatty.
