Holy shit Sam, where have you been hiding?

  5. Hi Samantha,

how does the show work? Is it possible that the owner getting "tricked" just pretends he/she doesn't realize they are gettin' overhauled and that their friend or spouse setting up the prank told them before hand? Either way congrats to your lucky azz brother [IMG] .

59Elky...my brother had no idea he was being tricked...he honestly thought his car had been stolen. His wife arranged the whole thing...and she really kept it under wraps, none of the rest of the family had any idea. I didn't find out until the night my brother finally saw his car..."finished". He called me about 11pm after the "wrap party"...and I thought he was pulling my leg. He was BEYOND happy...almost hysterical! haha He's a good guy...I'm really happy for him.

So, what did the car turn out looking like...any pics?

  8. hey Samantha thanks for the info. I always wondered how it all worked out.So will he get to enjoy the car and cruise or will it be taken away from him temporarily to be displayed throughout the US for 1 year? That would really stink because he would miss it.I know I would.

I'm not supposed to give away how the car "looks" until after the episode airs (sorry!). My brother will actually get the car, right after the episode has aired.
The only thing they asked of him was if he would be willing to attend some upcoming car shows with the other Overhaulin people/cars.

So do they give him a rental or something in the meantime?

Looks like for some of those people, the car that got Overhauled was their only car.

  11. That's cool. I can wait till tonight.
I have a buch of questions, but I won't bother you with them. [IMG]

Hell yeah! Not my exact car, but pretty damn close!
They better not billet the f@cker out and make it look like a Chingy video extra- too many of those damn cars on the road [IMG]

  13. yeah hope not.. Foose usually does good with the old cars.

he'll give it a subtle look and make some one-off retro style wheels for it.

Its hard to believe they can do all that work in 5 days!

  30. yes, it was a very good episode! Pretty soon the show is going to catch on an no one will be able to get tricked any more. Your brother knew Foose right away when they brought him out.
