For now it is just gonna be flat black. After Turkey Run the real bodywork will begin.Tonight I welded up door handle holes. I'm gonna try and spray it on Sunday.

It was a blast to hang-out and make some good progress. Was a cry'n same we didn't crack the first beer until it was all over. Slackers! My fingers are still bleeding and the Vicoden has worn off. The throbbing is just now subsiding in time to start at it again. Would we have it any other way? Anytime bro! Let's get that puppy done!

It's always a good time when a good bunch of friends can get together and work on a car. It's even better when it's for such a good reason. This what it's all about. Bet you guys had a lot of fun.

Kind words from all the Poorboys. Thanks guys. We are making good progress as of now. The rod run should be no problem to make. We'll have to get together for a beer up there.
Loppy, had the beer come out earlier not as much work would have been done. All a part of my elaborate(sp) plan to get as much work out of you guys as possible.

I actually had to laugh out loud at that. It does sound funny, doesn't it? Joe and I had our share after we were done.

The latest update. Primed the car yesterday. Everything went smooth, and the car looks much better flat black.

I have to agree....It looks damn good in black. I hope you put it on thick to hide where some of us unqualified guys worked. LOL.

As far as rationing the beer, I think it was a ploy to leave more beer for himself. The sooner everyone drank, the less beer left for him. The later everyone.....see where I'm going here.

It was fun anyhow. Looks good man. Now if I can only fix my fender....

    Latest update:
Car is back together. All that is left is for me to stripe it, and put some miles on it before Daytona. It turned out really well, even with a bunch of novice body guys. After Billetproof next year the real body work will begin.
Tomorrow is dad's birthday. So I think that is a pretty good gift, having the car all done.

Thanks again everybody for all the good words. My dad has read all of them. He is on here, tom t, he just never posts. I'll take some other pics when the car is all striped.
