this is the HAMB, ……………… I suspect that you already know the answer to your question :D

seriously though, I am pleased that you have found a practical and safe solution
( which will also leave your garage in tact - sorry couldn’t help but throw that in there ) :)

Probably not applicable to this topic but when I was building a 24' x 28' shed years ago I enlisted the help of my brother (a boilermaker/welder),a mate of mine (engine reconditioner) and another mate who had a brilliant brain but wasn't big on getting his hands dirty. After assembling the wall frames and it came time to stand them and check for trueness it became a battle of wits as to how much tolerance was acceptable for diagonals. The engine mate wanted to work with 5 thou, the brainiac wanted to work out a formula for stress tolerance and shift of walls once the roof went on etc, etc.
My brother just stood there shaking his head and said within 1/2" diagonal will do. "Now shut up and hold that frame or it'll be beer o'clock with nothing done". That shed is still standing and is good as it was built 42 years ago.
Yes I did sling complete V8s from the trusses but with a vertical post placed either side of the car for extra support.

I can’t say enough about how PA has helped me out with affordable, semi pro level equipment. I’m a hobbyist and what they sell is more than ample for me.
