Guys, Looking into mounting my ignition and some gauges overhead above the windshield in my '36 Chevy coupe. I know I could fab something eventually (I'm not a real good fabricator but I could probably bang out something) but is there anything on the market? I'd also appreciate any pics or hints from anybody who has tackled it themselves. Thanks

Check out Summit or Jegs. They have panels and boxes for gauges and switches .

o_O Doesn’t seem to be a very practical place to put them.

That's also a ton of wiring to hide in A or B pillars. Having this year's wiring job fresh on my mind I would have hated that added pain the in patootie.

Or run the wires to the rear and down and forward ,but thats a bit messy.
Do the 36 Chevs have wood in the A pillar?

I guess that rules out mechanical gauges.

I had a Sun distributor machine tach, a Motor Minder, & a Saab 6v clock in the OH panel on a '46 Chev panel … already had a vacuum tube, & 3 wires pulled thru the A post … worked & looked great, especially at night.

My coupe< has a wooden console over the windshield that houses the stereo, couple switches and a glove box. I didn't want to cut up the dash for those.
Dunno if I'd want all of the gauges up there....
