Looks like a good auction. I'd love to have a T tractor, neighbor had one when I was a kid.

A guy I work with told me there was a bunch of old cars lined up in a field by his house. He told me it was an auction. I take it that this is it. I might have to make my way out.

Won't be over there during that time...bugger!

Interested in hearing what the model A tractors go for. (Pick 'em up if they're cheap though!)

I'll be back in Bedford for a week beginning the 19th Oct. and know of a bit of 30's ~ 60's tin laying around.

    HPORX,

Wow Bedford I grew up in Everett Pa.....I worked at my grandparents hotel in Bedford when I was very young they owned the Fort bedford Inn it was a great place to grow up.....Lots of tin to be had in that area never know what you will find in an old barn.

    John

I wish I could make the auction but Mexico sounds a tad bit more fun:D I've always had 60's cars and now want a Roadster project thanks to this board.

    I paid $500

the price seemed reasonable to me but this is my first A so I am not up on what they usually go for....so I may have gotten hosed.

IT is rough.. it has dents, lots of rust, some bullet holes etc...etc.. nothing that a few spools of weld wire, gas and sheetmetal can't fix though.

I wasn't paying too much attention to the henry j's I noticed that a few were in the couple hundred range. the nashes were going for around 100 or 200 that I noticed.

The roadster bodyshell with no doors went for 1000.

I forget the exact amount of the complete car it was in 4000-4500 range if I remember right.

lots of rust for bunches of money is what i saw today outrageous prices for rotten cars.. . you got a deal at 500 hundred though i would say didnt watch that row of cars.

the roadster on the frame went for 4 grand but i think the guy bidding was affiliated with the auction company.
the quarters and cowl roadster went for a grand

i got 2 of the kaiser bumper guards that are always on kustoms for 35 bux a piece in nice rechromable shape.

    3 holey 94 carbs for 22 bux

53 kaiser tailights that might go in my pontiac 3 sets for 20 bux.

36 ford frame with nice x member rear end and wishbones for 15 bux.

all in all it was sumthin different and i had fun.

I had totally forgotten about that auction,...was supposed to head out with a friend but he got tied up with family business.

What did the 26-27 Model T roadsters bring?

Was the 30-31 roadster the one you said brought around 4-4500?

    Funny how that happens,...

Suddenly the auction company bids on the stuff they're selling,..never did agree with that. Had a friend who worked for an auction company years ago, he explained how lots of underhanded stuff went on.

Glad to see you guys got some good stuff. Good for you fellows!
