Hi guys, In town for a week, any shops worth visiting? Sites of interest? I found a neat old tin collection on the way up to Johnstown during my last visit and wouldn't mind capturing some more on film. Pity I missed out on the last Johnstown drive-in of the season too....bummer. Anyways, let me know if there's anything cool to see. Thanks, Caleb.
Outlaw Performance (http://www.outlawrods.com/index.cfm/page/ptype=page/page_cd=contact/contact.htm) is in Avonmore. There is a fantastic train museum in Altoona, Falling Water (Frank Llyod Wright's house) is not too far away and of course, you have to see Horseshoe Curve if you haven't ever seen it.
There was a hot rod shop near Windber a few years back,"Dueces Wild" that had some nice projects underway when I was there last.(2002?) They were "Bills Custom Louvering" years ago and I had my hood punched then.
Deuces Wild is still open and operating http://www.deuceswildrodshop.com/ I'm in a little town just north of Altoona and build aluminum grille inserts http://www.alumicraft.com 814-932-7405, alumicraft@gmail.com if you want to stop on by. Dan
Fantastic, thanks for the leads so far. I'll need to work on my schedule but will be headed in all directions throughout the week.
Not getting as far as Pittsburg this time unfortunatly. I do spend one week a month in PA though and will be travelling further afield once everything local has been covered.
