The legal way on a pre 48 modified car is a streetrod plate. Got mine in 07 in exactly 1 month.( fibergl*** Car) save all receipts, It really isn't that difficult if you find a informed inspection station. Street rod plate allows the most mods. no restrictions, and unlimited mileage. forget antique (too many restrictions) for modified car. I know people run around with standard plates antique etc. I know someone in our car club and State police came to his house and made him give up his antique plate on his streetrod. someday pen dot is going to force inspection stations to only put a sticker on street rod plated modified steetrods. If you get the SR plate now then its over. after the first initial enhanced inspec. the next time you can take the car to ANY PA. inpection station from there on out.
