  8. Just want to say Thanks to the AstroMonkeys and Mike of the Railroad Street Bar & Grill for the shindig they put on today. I was there about 3 hrs, got fed, sunburned and saw some neat cars & bikes. I had to leave before the bands started, but I'm sure they were good. I know the Hamb & Scrapple guys expressed their pleasure, Hope to do it again, Thanks!!!!

    Smokey, I missed Ya.

I'd like to add my thanks too, to all involved, great day. Hit some rain on the way home but made it safely. Good seeing some HAMBers I meet before and new ones.

Thanks also. AstroMonkey makes a mean potato salad too. Had a light rain on the way home. I would have pulled over but I could only see the road! Lots of strange looks at traffic lights.

I guess that's why they call them T-Buckets!!

We had a great time as well - it was a cool event (figuratively , not literally - it was hot as hell ;) ) . We got caught in a hellish rainstorm on the way home (most of the way home , actually) . Poor Jerry in the "sucker-punch" T-bucket was throwing up 15-foot roostertails from the tires & gobbling up more water than the Maid of the Mist , but had a great additude & soldiered on . Steve & I were nice & dry in our closed cars , so we can't bitch :) . I took some photos , I'll post them up soon - stay tuned .

Thanks again to the Astromonkey crew & Mike for puttin' on a great event . Can't wait till next year .

I tried to get a shot of the roostertails , but it didn't quite turn out . hard to shoot pics out the back & drive in the rain at the same time , lol :

Thanks to the AstroMonkey crew..what a great get-together! It was great chatting with all of the Hambers there, as well as the rest of the crowd. Free food, cheap beer, old cars..how can you go wrong? The best part was that I didn't slop anything on my new H.A.M.B. tee-shirt. Now that is a minor miracle.

Sorry I missed it. I had to help set up the tent and get the house ready for the Nieces graduation party. Couldn't get away long enough. Damn, looked like a really nice time

I really wanted to thank everyone so much for coming out. It turned out to be a great day despite some speed bumps early on. Sorry it took so long to get the grill fired up. I wish I'd had a better chance to talk to everyone. I barely got a chance to say hello most of the time. The owner was really pleased with everything so it sounds like we won't be hunting for a new spot again next year.

A lot of people took some great pictures and as soon as I get them online I'll post up a link.

  20. Just wanted to say that I am sorry I missed you guys...AGAIN!

Crap, I just wish crazy family shit wouldn't always come up.

Looked like fun, though I am sure driving on Bias Plys in the torential downpours was no fun. Hopefully next time.

    Best, MRAK

So I was in Phiily, years ago and had a late breakfast at a coffe shop. Ordered eggs, homefries and scrapple, HMMMM. Well it was a Friday and they deep fried the scrapple in the same oil they were frying fish in:eek:. Fish flavored scrapple is disgusting.
I'm getting old and don't remember much anymore, but I;ll never forget that culinary experiance.

Astro, I'll be there next year. Probably be out of work by then and have plenty of free time.

MMMMMMM, Scrapple. Man, I wish I could go. You can't get that here in Chicago. Someone at least take a photo of some and post it. Make mine crispy please.
