Hi I was hoping to get some advice. Got my seats upholstered at Garzas and now I am ready to do the rear seat package tray. He said he can make the package tray (since I don't have one) and upholster it but he couldn't put the speaker covers on. I am going to order the chrome music note speaker covers but I don't have any idea what to do next? Do I have him make a hole in package tray? Thanks for any advice.

Hi Christine, I use Masonite to make the package trays. You can go to Lowes or Manards and get a piece fairly inexpensive. I usually cut the new shelf out after making a cardboard templete to fit the car if the old one is missing. Does the car already have a hole in the steel shelf ? I would think if it does there is only a single hole in the center. Are you going to install stereo rear speakers ?
If yes then you will need to cut the holes in the steel to mount them. After the speakers holes have been cut in the steel place the new cut out masonite shelf liner in place and trace out the holes on the masonite. I cut out the holes and then cover the masonite with a light foam and upholster with fabric.
    I hope this helps.
