Packard help!!!!!

    ok where is number 1 on the cap i almost had her going tonight just need some input to make sure i am right on the wires going into the cap!!! it is a 1955 Clipper Custom with the 352 ci in it

    Looks like #1 is at 12:00 on the cap. Firing order is 18436572.

    don't know but is what your after
    For a 1955 Packard 352,

    Spark plug type = H10 (1955) N18 (1956)

    Spark plug gap - .035

    Points gap - .017

    Dwell angle (points) - 31 degrees

    Firing order - 18436572

    Timing 5° BTDC

    Thanks ya'll i got the gap set and the points set and the firing order is the same as a Chevy V8 which every car guy knows from memory and i think i got her in the right holes now !!

    The old thumb in the #1 spark plug hole to find #1 coming up and looking at where the rotor is pointed, is not only a lot faster than posting on the HAMB. It allows for the chance of the distributer being repositioned sometime in the last 55 years.
