Does anyone out there know of a machine shop that will respline a 1937 Packard transmission output shaft? I'm trying to adapt the tranny to a Ford torque tube so it needs to be resplined to fit a Ford 6 spline universal joint. Any help would be appreciated.

Barry brought this up to me at lunch, i have a 37 top shift trans in peices so i can bring that over to barry and have him take a look, i think it will be no problem at all, not really any different than doign the same conversion to cad/lasalle.

Craig, I looked at this same swap a couple of weeks ago

The Packard shaft is too small to be re-splined to suit a Ford Universal joint.
