Last night I took my wife to Pageant Of The Masters in Laguna Beach, CA. http://www.foapom.com/. If you're a fan of art, this show is a must. Walking thru the isles and admiring all the talent, I came across a few paintings by a guy named Gerald Schwartz www.schwartzart.com. He paints things he sees in everyday life, and among those things are hotrods and harleys. I was talking to him about his work and come to realize he's not a car buff. He has no idea what year or make his last creation was. He has a different appreciation for cars than we do (of course we see our cars as a piece of art too, but thats all they are to him). He doesnt own a classic, or rides a harley, but his take on our obsessions clearly comes thru in his paintings. One of his paintings on display was that of a red '54 chevy. I asked him who the car belongs to. He had no idea. He snapped a picture, and decided to paint it. Maybe its a HAMBers car?? It would be cool if someone recognized this car! Another painting is entitled "RUST". I couldnt make out what kind of truck that was in this painting. Can anyone of you make out what it is? I told him if I found out I would let him know!
