I am starting to plan all the details of my 68' c10 and want some opinions on paint color. I am wanting to do a darker flat green with some yellow accents in the grill area. Let me know what you all think, thanks for the input see you down the road!

flat green is a no go. sparkly green is where its at.

  4. Are you a Packers fan?? What shade of green? Yellow accents in the grill area? Are you talking about scallops of some sort?

  5. Dark flat green? I'm picturing the trucks forest rangers drive, and they don't look too exciting. Sorry. That sounds like the way to go totally unnoticed, sort of like camouflage paint if that's what you want. It seems like too big of a vehicle to look cool flat green. It'll probably just come off looking like old faded paint and not really hot rod looking. It'll make it look more like a gardener's truck or some government issue truck. I guess maybe if you could come up with some cool shade of green it might work.

I personally like square body-style trucks to be teo-tone.
so paint that bitch a stock two-tone scheme like this pic, but make it
pearl white and a bright kelly green with some big ass flake.:D

Yeah, maybe flip that scheme... If your sold on green/yellow, paint it yellow, and add some green striping or something...

I agree with Rhino 1958. Go with Yellow with Green scollops or stiping. It will look much better. Post some photos when you start laying down some paint.

How about green metalflake or gold metalflake? What you're describing does kinda sound like a Packers fan truck or a forest ranger truck. Do you have any pics of cars in the color you want?
