    Guys,

I have these two paint codes/part numbers on rattle cans from Duplicolor that I would like to map over to PPG.

    Duplicolor# 47-0296-6 "Lt Sage(M)"

    It's a light metallic lime green. I beleive it's a GM colour.

    Duplicolor # 47-5036-6 "MMNM DK Green (M)

It's medium dark metallic green. I think it's a Ford colour. I think it's from 2004 or newer Ford Explorer.

I need to map these colours to what auto mfgr, year and colour name they are so I can match them to PPG colours.

I've spent a fair amount of time on duplicolor's website and others and so far - zilch.

    Can anyone help?

    Thanks,

    RMF

There is a universal number for each color called the "WA-number". If you can find that, it can be mixed in most brands. Also, most paint stores can "cross over" another paint company's number to their own.

I have taken the paint to PPG before and they were able to take some type of machine that sees the paint color and is able to duplicate the color in a mix code.
