I have a question concerning the fluid tips on Sata guns...can you spray single stage and clears through a 1.4 tip? Or is this mainly for basecoats? I know bigger flakes won't work well, but what about the heavier liquids? And can the heads be easily changed to different sizes? Is the Sata 2000 a decent gun? Any problems with Satas at all??
hemi, i use a 1.7 tip for single stage paint.....but a 1.4 MAY work too ..and it will work for clears.....and a sata 2000 is a great gun......sata's are mostly what i use .......i love em...not cheap though..........
Sata makes pretty good guns. 1.6 tip would be more for real heavy clear/single stage. I have a Sata Jet 90 (gravity feed) that I use for clear with a 1.4 tip. I've put a lot of miles on it with lots of different clears and with the correct viscosity and fluid/pressure settings it is a very good gun. I'm not familiar with the 2000 model, but I'm sure of the quality of the company. If I remember correctly, fluid tip/air cap combos come in matched sets. They are probably not cheap. The 1.4 should be a good all around size for different products. The gun should have a good adjustment range. overspray
