Love the color! Tripped me out seeing the master on the right side but then I saw where you were from.
Next main job is the trim.I am planning on doing white like on the Model A in the picture attached.I have asked in a previous thread if anyone has more/better pics of the trim in this car.Would like to do a gold carpet but almost impossible to get over here.Have checked on house carpet and no gold there either. Worked on the car on Monday and got lots of stuff on.Radiator, grille shell, head lights, set up radio in the dash, set up gauges, bolted down the body onto the frame. Will be back up later this week to help out more, hang doors, trunk lid etc. More photos after that visit.
Just in case you came in late this is not my car, although I love it.I want to do my trim like this one and am looking for more pictures.
Is looking great, can only imagine how good it will be when finished. Your garage will be an interesting place with a 50's Custom and a 60's Hot Rod. Will look foward to seeing that photo
Thanks Paul.Warren sent a couple of photos down today with the firewall installed and fuel block & lines run. Also steering wheel set up.The wheel has spokes and trim to go on yet.Not sure now if I will paint the sections as per the wheel photo attached. It may look OK just all white.
Did a trip back up to Toowoomba today(I think this is around #20). Bloody cold up there this morning!!! Very happy with what I saw.It is really coming together now.Met with the trimmer and cohse the vinyl.Still trying to decide what carpet.Gold is hard to get and it has been suggested thta I sue black but maybe with some silver or gold thread in it. Michael the painter has buffed out the paint and it looks great.I still haven't seen it in the sun yet. Anyway here are today's pics.
I have had a couple of requests about the paint.I have replied to the PM's but here is what I know.I can verify this and correct it if it is not right. The base coat is called something like Champagne Glow,(PPG) and the number we used was CLR 814.The top coat(gold pearl) is a Suzuki motorbike colour and is a Debeer paint I think and the code was SUZ 132.
Well not a lot to show although a lot has been done.Today I went up to see the upholsterer and we did a test fit of the seat.It looks like it is sitting on the floor but the floor under the seat has been sunk down to allow plenty of depth for the seat. Unfortunately the engine builder had another committment today and couldn't come over to start the engine. That will now probably be early next week. Fitted the coil cover on the firewall and the flash Mooneyes radiator cap!!! Fitted one of the front guards to see what it looked like.
really cool roadster Hudson48, love the colour too. Have you seen it out in the sun yet? I bet it POPS!!
