I've got a set of Flathead heads and a manifold that are aluminum and have been painted.
What's the easiest way to remove the paint?
I could bead-blast them, but would rather not if there's a better way.
    Thanks
    Jim

I glass-bead blast aluminum parts. Even carb bodies. It comes out looking like new though. Some people don't like that look.

tal strip , its air craft paint remover will not hurt the aluminum , if you use something else check the labels more strippers are made from sodium hydroxide and that loves aluminum like a fat kid at a buffet , you want a Methyl chloride stripper as its aluminum safe .
