Bluto's right the stripper wheels are great. 3m also makes a 8" hook it backing pad (05580) for a variable speed buffer. Just attach a piece of 8" 80 grit or 40 grit depending on what removes the paint best and the rest is easy. Been using these two methods for exterior panels for years. Jambs and inners panels work best with the wheels. The costs are very minimal when compared to paint stripper. But if you have a large project media or soda blasting may become preferable.

Aircraft painstripper.... I stripped an entire car with the stuff in my garage. Its nasty stuff and you dont want the be breathing it. I had a big fan in the garage and wore gloves. You dont want to get it on your skin. It took days and I think two gallons. Messy as hell. My car had been repainted and in some areas it only bubbled up the top coat and needed a second application to get the bottom coat. It removes bondo too. And you want to make sure you get it all off.. it gets into the nooks and cranys but a good blast with a hose gets it out. It will be the worst part of the job. I dont know if Id do it that way again but it something you can do in your own garage.
