Blake, this is probably the kit you bought: http://jimenezbroscustoms.com/defau...=2 LINK SUSPESION KITS&SubCat=None&SubCatID=0

In that description it says "We also sell a 2 piece to eliminate the big tunnel you see done on most lowered cars and you also keep your back seat which is another thing you see people eliminating with a 4 link kit."

That's the part I was telling you about. Cain Jimenez wrote here on the HAMB a little about that "two piece" being a two piece driveshaft connected bus carrier bearing. Hope that helps!

Looks good! Is it legal to paint a license plate like that?

That color you picked is a long way from purple! Nice though. Great deal on the bumper.

So is that dropped spindles with Aerostar springs?

I don't want to say its legal. But. The only way to tell is if you know the old plates only have 6 digits and mine has 7 and if you know that your prob a car guy And not going to give me a ticket. Also. I walked upto a cop with the plates and said what would my ticket be if you pulled me over and saw these were painted both cops said I wouldn't even care. I would run the plates and if the car was. Not stolen then that's all I care about.

I'm running jamco 3 inch lowering springs with the drop spindles.

I decide to keep a period correct color and when that dodge pulled up to our local meet up it was so classy in person and everyone including me kept talkin about how nice the color was. Also. It's lighter than a dark purple so you will not notice if the body work is not 100 percent.

It's gonna look great that color - though I kinda like the color it is now. Did you consider just re-doing the stock blue (Sheridan Blue or Bimini Blue metallic)?

I'm thinking about a color change myself! I was searching for a complementary color to paint the engine, and came across this. May have to go with this color:

I have thought about keeping it the darker blue but being out here in LA and having white interior it looks like a dodgers car so I want to change that and also keep a light color so the body work doesn't need to be 100 percent.... I fell in love with the laplatta blue in person.

I like the light purp color it's nice!

    Haven't updated in a bit.....

I found the stainless piece I was missing on my splash pan for $49 in Compton that was for a 1949 so I cut it down to fit!

My cd player was just sitting in the glove box bouncing around so I dabbed up this so it looks much cleaner! I used wood.

Dads, what is that color called on the shoebox in your post, is that the ultra violet? And, Blake, looking good so far and that EI vid made everything alot more clear to me as far as conversions go. Thanks.

It's a 1965 Corvair color called Evening Orchid. Ford/Lincoln had a similar color in 1969 called Medium Orchid.
