Painted windshield frames on 32 roadsters, let see them

I having some ideas of going with painted windshield frame instead of chrome, anyone having any pictures of someone that done it?

I lifted this off here last year..it was a run in the Alps...this roadster is spot on...

 

I painted the lower staunchions black .. the frame is nickel, but it reduces the amount of 'bling' on the windscreen a touch..just another option. but yeh that european one above looks awesome. all business.

 

Does anyone know if painted frame was standard for any model?

Well, this doesn't really answer your question (I don't think) but the "standard" version of the sedan, coupe, etc had painted windshield frames, and the deluxe models were chrome I believe. You probably knew this though.

However, on the roadsters I thought they were all chrome regardless of standard or deluxe??

BTW - That roadster in the Alps is spot on!

 

My painted ws-frame . Never been chromed , So I guess the "Standard" roadsters came with black ws-frames .
