    Thanks guys,

I am just getting tired of people******ing about not protecting themselves and everyone here saying "ah that*****s bud" and so on. I just think it is no different then someone getting metal in their eye with no safety glasses or shield. There has been id say over 5-9 threads that I have caught, (not including the ones that slip by..) with no one saying anything about their mistake...

    THANKS AGAIN.

  5. I've been a******** for a while now. I used to shoot cabinets at a custom cabinet shop with stains, sanding sealer, laquers and polys. Washed out the guns by hand (bare hands) with laquer thinner. We used the cheapest 3M hardware store cartridges they made. Next job was at a countertop shop. We shot adhesive and finishes in an open shop, only the guy shooting wore a mask. Washed my hands in laquer thinner there too. I later worked at a factory and was directly exposed to vaporized lead- I had pneumonia for 6 months straight, terrible headaches and trouble with my eyesight. A few years later I spent 2 years in a factory where I was exposed to vaporized zinc and trichlor. on a regular basis. I am now painting parts as I go on my 31 Model A. I know it's probably too late to change anything that's going to happen to me healthwise, but could someone please point me in the right direction on where to find some decent (read: effective), cheap (read: I'm poor) safety gear? (stores?, websites?)I know cheap isn't the way to go, but I'm no millionaire builder. I'm currently using a 3M cheapo organic cartridge system and a pair of safety goggles. I know it's not adequate for the job. I'd like to find something that is so I could at least slow down the inevitable. Luke

I checked with binks on my respirator, it will filter isocyanites as long as you follow the recommended change out times on the cartridges. they are perfectly safe to use if you follow the directions. people who get in trouble with them usually aren't doing that.
