Man, I don't know if folks are just having cabin fever or what, but locally people cruising has gone crazy. In a couple of small bedroom towns the lines are 3-4 miles long. Reminds me of the early 80's. We had one in our town tonight and there were probably 10K people that showed up. 45 minutes to go a mile. Not sure if this is a regional thing, but it's cool that it's making a comeback. Tons of hot rods and I even saw a chopped 56 Crown Vic.

Here's a pic of my nephew in the Okie Apache...

This pandemic is giving me time to work on “Effie” but I am itching to get it finished and go on a road trip when this over .

4th week in a row now. Never seen so many cars cruising in our town(5000). Our 19 old daughter enjoys it the most. The hydraulics on my car haven`t been used this much since I put them on over 30 years ago.

Do that where i live (NSW Australia) and you will get a fine of around US$1,000.00.

Probably why we have little or no problem with Corvid-19

We all stay home as that is what we need to do to win the battle.

$1500 in WA and $50,000 if you breach directed self isolation. Also have regional closed borders within our state with checkpoints. That's why our figures are so low :)

I go for a drive every day. I'm seeing more cars on the road each time that I go out in the city.
The Natives are getting restless and in a car, you don't have to make contact with anyone.
I might cruise the beach areas tomorrow to see what's going on. Stay on Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) for awhile. Pack a lunch and some snacks so I don't have to make a stop.

We drive the convertible almost every day just to drive around. We are seeing more cars out all the time doing the same thing.

Roothawg ot but thanks to your tribute truck build I finally figured out what springs I had in the rear of my 41 p/u and after two failures on shocks I spent a morning reviewing your thread and ordered the corvette rear shocks and now rides better than ever Thanks again Tom

Not warm enough here yet but what I did see yesterday while I was dropping something off for a friend was I must of p***ed 3 or 4 newer model convertibles with tops down and it was only about fifty degrees. We are seeing parades of cars and custom trucks when it's a kids birthday on our street and they do a p*** with horns honking.

They had a cruise night here locally last weekend. Started out okay then got stupid of course.......burnouts and stoplight racing. The cops got called in, citations issued, etc, etc.

PCH my favorite drive. Did a lot of that when I lived out there. Socal beach area and then Ventura to Santa Barbara.

Glad our numbers are low here in OK and we can drive all we want.

There are cruise nights popping up around the Twin Cities metro area. I hit the **** Rapids cruise a week ago, in spite of cooler weather there was a good turn out. I guess last night was even better due to sunshine and warmer temps.

Yep. Most Friday nights in all the small towns around here. Probably 50 cars cruising a 4 block long main street in town of 800.
Mostly teens, but we showed up with some friends to show what cool is. FB_IMG_1566133981220.jpeg Shiny.jpeg

They are everywhere. I expect to see more rebellion in the near future if this doesn't let up soon. A couple of the closest drag strips are advertising they are going to open up next weekend, we'll see if it happens.

I did get the wife's OT FBird fired off yesterday, still need to clean it up so we can go do some riding. My car won't be going anywhere for a while yet....

The first time I brought my wife to California from Ohio for her first visit, I took her for a drive up the coast. Her eyes were never so big and I kept hearing..."OH, WOW! How Beautiful!"
She still talks about it today, according to our Son. They live in Ohio now.

I had heard the Moore,OK was the third largest cruise spot in the nation. No sure how accurate that is, but I believe it.

I don't drive the roadster 'cause of the 'Shelter in Place' order. There's lots of cops out on the roads around here and the roadster sticks out like a sore thumb! Apparently, the SIP order is slated to be lifted on May 3rd so hopefully I'll be cruisin' by next week! Can't wait!!

They have little drive arounds here everybody honking and such. Can’t see myself getting in line with a bunch of soccer moms in SUVs though.

Went out to stock up on D'coke so used my OT '72 Comet. The "back" way side streets etc. Lot of people walking around some with dogs. I got a lot of strange looks; maybe be cause it was day time and they could see my ugliness behind the wheel. Not many people at the store and they were sold out:(

I just heard about these popping up here again from a couple friends this week. Sounds like Moore, OK has been packed! I may have to go and check it out soon. I haven’t cruised Moore since the late 80’s.

A buddy told me last night that there will be a cruise in the town I cruised in high school this coming Saturday. And, a lady at work just came by and said that there is also one next Tuesday in the town I work.

Doesn't seem like anyone in Fort Worth and surrounding areas is staying home anymore. It seems as busy as usual when I go out for "essential" trips. My father-in-law and I took a 150 mile or so trip in my 38 exploring the backroads and I bet we saw in excess of 200 motorcycles, and plenty of cars.

I hope people continue to cruise after this is over and don't return to the boring car show venue.
