hi guys, if you want to learn, the quickest way (other than spending large cash for cl***es) is www.metalmeet.com and www.allshops.org . you can start with virtually no money; look up ball bat hammer, leaf spring *******, tree stump, shrinking disc, tucking fork, homemade e-wheels and homemade p-hammer. heres a pic of a ball bat hammer, i use it on steel or aluminium.
I find myself picking up the Ol' Ballpeen Hammer more often than not. I also use 4x4 and 4" round wood post stock that I have sunk in the ground, I have the top at 36" which makes for comfortable working at 6" tall. I've been beating sheet for 50 years, works for me.
