    I'm starting with this:

And trying to turn it into this:

Right now it looks like this:

Rebuilding the floors has been harder than I thought. The rockers were completely gone so the whole side has to be redone.
One of he guys in hte club said "Knitting a car is hard.". I agree.

  2. my daily driver/hauler........230 6cyl, 3 spd o/d manual on the tree and it can haul a washer and drier upright (with room to spare). was looking for a 40's/50's panel but couldn't find one in my price range that didn't need MAJOR work.

Here is my 52 Ford Panel, I use it as a shop truck, it's got tons of room in it.
I can even fit 4x8 sheets of plywood in it and still close the back doors.
    Also ideal for camping.
OOPS, sorry it's not a Chevy.

Well, I know it's a little new for this board, but here's my '71 Chevy Suburban (h)ambulance. It's a strong runner with a 350/TH350/posi combo.

"THE BREAD SLED" is a '64 chevy panel van built by us for a customer a few years ago. I hear that it has been recently sold and now lives in Switzerland.

If that's a legit UPS truck, it's very, very rare: they have always had a policy of crushing their retired vehicles, so no other companies could buy them and confuse customers.

Very, very cool truck. I always thought a truck like that would make a great swap meet wagon/out of town camper type deal.

I love the vans. I'm working on a van project right now. Something a little newer though. I'll have pictures up when she is finished. Definitely going to be "something else"

  25. it still has the UPS brown paint and gold leaf pin stripes. The person I talked to about it said "he didn't know how it got out of the system but that body was used from 49-54. has skylights and a low entry step and wide door in the rear (half the width of the truck)
The youngster I gave it to. plans on a new chassis running a rebuilt 5 cylinder mercedes engine and trans that he has. he also wants to polish the whole truck like an Airstream trailer. that's what dreams are for
