Panoramic Drive-In shot (WARNING: VERY Wiiiide)

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Brootal, Apr 10, 2010.

  1. Took this at the recent ASRF Regional Nationals in Busselton, Western Australia.

Stitched together five photos and I thought it turned out OK. Kind of like Where's Wally, but with hot rods. :)

  7. Man, when I was 17 we still had our old Drive-In in Sheridan Open... took my 54' Buick twice. A year later they closed it. It sucks and I miss it.Just glad I got to before they shut it down.

Very cool! You should have that shot made into a poster and sell some on the HAMB!

Not nearly as many cars, but I played at this drive-in a couple years back in Glendale, AZ.

Cool pic. It has been well over 25 years since our drive in was torn down... Miss it.

    Thats a great assembly shot!
I really like that car on the left right behind that other car.

  25. I'm not normally a big fan of having to scroll side to side to look at a 1000 plus pixel wide photo in these forums. BUT... you get a pass for this shot!:D

Thanks for taking the time to stich them all together. Looks like a fun day and I love that two-tone Hudson in the front row... waaaaayyyy over on the right hand side!

  26. Grease. LOL

Already in the works. Going to get some pricing done this week. Only thing I'm not sure about is how large to make it. I worked out that if it was 8 inches high, it would be about six FOOT wide!

Hahaha... that's funny. There's one in Perth, Wester Australia as well called the The Galaxy.

Nope. About five minutes on Photostitch, but I have since gone in to Photoshop and tidied up a couple of areas where the photos merged.

    I hear ya!

But I figured I could make an exception for this shot. :)

If anyone is interested in a print, let me know and I'll see what I can organise regarding printing and shipping.
