Event Coverage Paradise Nostalgia Drags and Show Calhoun, Ga.

We made the short trip to Calhoun, Ga. today for the Nostalgia Drags and Car Show. Lots of cool stuff as always.

I saw the Maverick truck and roadster at Dixie Fried as well as the Impala. I managed to snap some good burnout pics of the roadster.

 

looks like a good show. some of the Greazy Hubcapz members made it down for it

 

I tried to get a pic of the Greazy Hubcap truck. He was on the run all day. Never caught him sitting still. That thing is badass with that BIG turbo on it. The Corvette not only looked good it would haul ass. Looked like a '60's flashback (other than the Hoosiers).

I was there I sold some magazines and met some good people as always. I ran out and forgot my camera Thank god someone else had thiers. They are also going to have another one in December.

 

I drove Wifey's '62 Impala down today. It was a blast. Best swap meet that I've ever seen at the Paradise. The Nostalgia drags are the best. Lots of VERY cool cars makin' blasts down the 1/8th mile.

What's the date in December? Where in Calhoun? I'm at Rockmart, not too far away, will plan to be there with my '38 Ford pickup.

 

It is Dec, 6th
It is right off of I-75 on the highway 225 exit it is about 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile away.

It will be cold. But the show will go on.

I'm gonna try to make it down. I'm hoping some kind of heat wave comes in next week. JEEZ, it's cold for November.

 

Hey - its going to be in the 60's today I can't wait to go for a thankfull hot rod ride.

 

Back to the top - looking forward to Saturday. They had a great swap last time I was there too.

 

The wife just asked what I wanted for my b-day, it's Dec 6. Roadtrip!
