06 started off with the ramrods building anew car with a solid front end 3 carbs new heads ,dist 3w larry did not spare the money.They sold their old car and the Crooked Six was born .The Hornets bored the block .030 installed pop up pistons .In FEB Gary Medors of Goodguys came to Tulsa for the CHILI BOWL RACE he visits local shops when town. He saw the Hornet and got excited about the concept ,saying this was something a guy working 40 hrs aweek could afford . A invitation was extended to the Hornets /Ramrods to appear at theINDY Goodguys event 06 Which Hornets won 2out of3 The cars were well received and the teams were invited to appear at TEXAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY later in the year . we RACED ON pit road no clocks just a flag man and finish line judge crowd loved it wonthat 2out of 3 .Hindman made a victory lap around the track , got a major chewing out wont get invited back . part 4 comeing up
