A friend sold me a box of n.o.s. old car parts some while back and this was in there . I'm 67 and I've run across some odd parts but never one of these .It is fairly heavy for its' size indicating that it probably has some type of mechanism inside it . It is dated 1958 I think (a little hard to read) and it specifies 6 volts . Under the removable protective cap it has a dual filament bulb , also the case is made of bakelite . There is no part number on the box . When you connect it to 6 volts momentarily ,it just sparks . Could this be a siren or ? I'm sure with the collective expertise here on the Hamb someone knows what this is . Thanks !
