I made an air cleaner housing from two BMW R90 front lids.

 

Very nicely done!

 

I have an Oldsmobile Toronado transaxle, installed backwards, in the middle of my Model A.

It has a Chrysler Hemi bolted to it. That has a GMC 6-71 diesel blower on it.

 

^ That's what, a TH425? Seen 'em used in Corvair v8 conversions like @hrm2k

 

Used a decorative wooden box (says Market Fresh or something on the back side) for a battery box. Made the lid out of old packing crate wood. A little torch work , a homemade stencil and a belt from a thrift store. Cables go through the handle holes. Ran a breather into it even though it's an Optima battery. By the way, I bought the battery in 1998. Take it out in winter and charge it once or twice. Tested it this summer and it's still ok.

 

Yeah, but my set up is a bit different.

In the correct configuration, the engine is over the axle center-line.

In my set up, the whole engine, blower pulley and all, is ahead of the axle center-line.

 

I've got this for sale in the classified. Think it might make an interesting top for an air cleaner.
