Good times, Im all sunburnt and my arms are sore from steering those windy mountain roads. It was worth it to see all those cars assembled in one place and actually on the road! I would like to vote for next years route to contain a few more straight aways ;)

Oh, and TERPU, those seats in your truck bed are flippin sweet!

Thank you, but I'd be a chump if I didn't say those are in Neal's RPU that's a masterpiece. I have the dumpy old loveable tub with blankets and bus seats.

I just want to thank every one who brought all the GREAT Traditional Hot Rods to this year's Reliability Run and also all who posted all the Pictures and Videos. GREAT STUFF.

We are a small club and this is a lot of work but to see all the Great Cars and every one having a good time is our reward.

Thanks again to all who helped make this year's Run such a success and we will work very hard to try to make next year's Reliability Run even better. Actually, I did not have to do much except sit back and watch it happen, most of the work was done by the Run Chairman, Dennis Lacy.

Thanks again and we hope to see all of you next year.

Those videos are fantastic for us guys down under, as it gives us the experience of driving as the camera is on our side of the car - the right side;)

Thanks Chris I was honored to get "Presidents Choice" this year , amongst such a fantastic gathering of Roadsters .

Nothing would keep me away from The Pasadena Roadsters Reliability Run :)

We all appreciate all the hard work you all put in to make it a perfect event.

    See you next year.

    Steve,

We have a major problem with the Awards. We added a few more this year but we still do not have nearly enough. We had 98 Hot Rods start this year's Run and we needed 98 Trophies. Every car was deserving of an award.

Thanks for bringing such a Great Car.

    Chris.

We had a great time as well. This is for sure one of the best events of the year for me. Not being broken down on the side of the road 1/2 the time made for a much funner run this year... :)

We decided that we need to get my dad's Model A rpu running for next year! Tim's and Shane's looked like too much fun...

Since my RPU is still in the shakedown mode, I trailered down...but I ended up driving home. My friend Phil's banger started making rod noise about 10 miles from Pasadena on the 210. Not a good day for that I hear... :( Fortunately we hadn't left yet, so we went and got his car with the trailer...

...and I drove the rpu all the way back to Atascadero. 325 miles in the RPU in one day made for a long day...but it was a good test run. I'm a lot more confident about taking it out on a long road trip now.

Here's a few pics from yesterday...

The new standard for full fendered 32 roadsters...

I love the look of the orginal Bell tube axles...

...the guy said he bought his roadster in 53 and went to Bell Auto Parts and bought the axle shortly there after. Meeting people and learning about the cars makes events like this all that much better.
Here's the rest of my pics...

Thanks again to all the PRC members...we can't wait till next year.

Those are some awesome pictures Neal. Your truck is still one of my all-time favorites! I keep forgetting to ask you, what kind of heads are on your engine? I also agree that Morty's roadster is about the coolest full-fendered version I've seen. Him and Simard really nailed "the look" with that one.

I'm sorry to hear that Phills T started experiencing engine troubles. Now that's two banger casualties that I've heard of post-run. Willie Martin thinks he spun a bearing on his way home.

  17. thanks for the photos, awesome event, with an amazing group of cars/participants, great to see my ol pal Chuck Sharp still kickin butt in his little rpu, awesome.

    Cheers, a benchmark event,

    Drewfus:)

LOL, our president pretty much dreamed that one up and we got it made just a couple weeks before the run. We went around and around with acronyms before settling on NAFF. If I remember right Blair's Speed Shop donated the engine parts which are early Hemi.

The first "F" in NAFF is open for interpretation. We ended up having it stand for "flathead" to keep things clean, haha. I think you can probably figure out what I mean...

Sorry to hear of the Banger casualties. I'm surprised no one got an actual photo of mine doing a wheelie. :D:rolleyes:

I would like to thank the PRC for letting me participate in the best hotrod event I have ever been to. I sincerely hope I'm invited back next year !!!!!!

Thanks to everyone who posted photos and video.

Did anybody happen to shoot any pictures of my buddies '35 phaeton from over in Phoenix? His name is Ron Olmstead, and I know he was there because I see him standing in the drivers meeting photo. Black '35 phaeton, anybody?

  24. Bob,

  27. Unbelievable cars in a wonderful scenery. Judging after these pics, it would be well worth planning my next stateside trip just around this event. Awesome stuff, thanks for posting!

PS: I definitely need a roadster now.
