the '53 chevy is goin' to gordini's on friday and we will not rest 'till the front end is done...so, what are you getting ready to drive? nic
My dad and I will be there debuting our newest show car : "The-G****s-of-Wrathmobile" I can't show you any pictures because, as of yet, the "vehicle" is not totally ***embled, but I can let you in on a few details... It will consist of my pop's beater-*** 67 chevy flatbed that will tow our beater *** car trailer (once we get the chicken coupe off of it). On top of the car trailer will be my car (don't give me any trailerqueen ****, its got a main knocking). Behind my car, on the dove tail, will be the new motor for my car, along with the ****** that came with it. In addition, we'll have four more motors, 7 long blocks, and 3 transmissions. we still haven't decided where to mount the motorcycles, but we'll think of something.
Well I thrashed on the 34 all last week to get the engine all dialed in and hang the scavengers out back. Made a run down south and back (did a little drag racing along the way) and will toss in a new turbo 400 this weekend. So, long story short...the 34 pickup will easily make the paso run this year. Fiance will bring along the 59 'Toga. Looking forward to it. True
A few of us will be makin the trip from seattle. K-member and OLD BEET will be drivin down there chopped F-1's and I'm takin FEDERS 49 mercury. Hope to meet some of you hambers down there. FED
Ive driven to Paso several times but always in something made after 1987. This will be the first year I take my own ride and maybe even get in on the lawn or in the square somewheres..!!
if all goes as planned my 53' cadi. Good thing I got some hamb love from roaddevil to help me with the car cause as Nic knows....Gordon is freaking BUSY and couldn't get my car in for the body work. otherwise....my daily wrx so I'll have to park it and walk.
Nothing for the second year in a row. My flattie gave up the ghost thanks to an oil line flying off. Really stinks because this is two years in a row that I've had my truck but no way get it to Paso.
Looks like Mike is riding shotgun w/ me again ;-) I'm planning on taking my 39 Mercury, but if something goes south getting the motor back in, I've got the 29 Roadster on call. Every man needs a rod AND a custom- for this exact reason!!
this is the first year i have a car to take. And I took off the ugly *** hubcaps from this picture too. Have a nice set of 51 buick caps on right now. Just need to try and lower it by the end of the month.
Its really a safety issue: If you don't lower it, you might get a nose bleed from being up that high...
I've been looking for an excuse to use this pic, lets just say Mr. Roscoe wasn't amused and neither were the traffic cops
I may take my great grandfather's 60 Merc Monterey but I havent decided if it would be worth it being that I can only go Friday night and have to come back Saturday. God knows my 65 Dodge Dart GT wouldnt make it. Is anyone going to take the hwy 25 through Hollister and out to King City? It's a nice little country drive and it sure cuts commute time if you were planning on taking the 101 all the way down.
