Post 'em man. Hundreds of millions of dollars are paid each year by major corporations, foundations and individuals to fuel original art. I tapped into that in the very beginning (nearly 2 million), but they pulled the funding 2 weeks later because ATF was not only a great project, but dangerous as hell. They simply "didn't want my blood on their hands" and used my money to fund safe art. Turning ATF into a business to make it go was never the plan, that was my mistake in doing so. The new investors helped me get it rolling, but slow merch sales on the site and low attendance at vintage drag events (along with the horror of 9-11) made 'em pull out. I've been paying for it out of my own pocket ever since. Fact is, giant art money is the only way to keep the thing from turning to shit. Hey, buck up!...Somebody just paid 28 million dollars for a big 6 foot steel cube sculpture made by a "real" artist in the '60s. It'll never question the existance of heaven or hell, kill anyone, brain a spectator with a 6-71 or roll through the traps at 220 on fire.....THANK GOD.
Tim man, thatnks for puttin the site back up. I've used it for inspiration for years, I'm stoked to see it again.
Here is some love I sent to Tim..... Just a coupl'a quick ones in hopes of doing some finished art to finance firing up one of the dragsters just once!
