thanks guys. tomorrow ill try to get the cowl structure started. just have to finish up the crap my girlfriend wants me to do.

  4. Saw your picture in the mug shot thread on here the other day. Good thing you look and fabricate better than you spell. :D

    Keep up the good work...

  5. Just check out how beefy, relatively, the small Lancaster style shrinkers are that are sold by places like Eastwood. Scale that up for a larger deep-throat model. Also check out the group-build shrinker on AllMetalShaping.com forum. It's as frame is built like that for a reason.

FWIW, the frame of the Harbor Freight deep-throat shrinker is considered weak, and it has a much smaller throat than your frame with roughly the same thickness material.

Pressure exerted is on the order of thousands of pounds.

No problem. I'm looking over your coupe thread now. Holly cow bat man. That is sweet!

  10. Did you do an "intro" at the site? They like to know what people are working on or looking to get out of the site before they grant full access. Pretty easy. I'm sure they'd love to see your roadster project.

ok got some stuff done this weekend may not look like much but this is the most important part of the body. so tried getting as much done as I could but still managed to get distracted. plus going to the city last night till 5 am wasn't a good idea either. so now the subframe is about 60% done still need it finish up welding putting the lower body line on the outer rails, then the rear half. next step after that is rear floor pan and cowl support and cowl sides. hopefully ill have that by next weekend. I want this body close to done by august.
