a little more machine shop fun for yous, this is the eccentric press for the top part of the deep throat shrinker stretcher i am making. it has a half inch throw. and is powerd by foot pedal and 1/4 cable. ordered the dies the other day (i didnt feel like making them) but i will have to make them attach to both the upper and lower of the SS machine. so once i finish this i could easly do the quarter panels.

great project! Can really appreciate your work as i have been building my own version for a few years now. I couldn't find a deuce to pattern so i went bought an 1/8 scale model and cadded it and scaled it up. i admire all of your efforts to duplicate the details it looks great. i took some liberties with Henry's design for budget reasons but i really love the cars and their style. I fashioned my body out of 16 gauge steel as it was what i could get the cheapest at my local steel suppliers and it was hard for me to form but it like a deuce/tank i'll never worry about hail damage! anyway keep hammering and postin pics cause it's a cool ride!

sorry about the pic quality its dark in the shop. Built my frame from 1/8th"
plate and fully boxed it as i went. inside where the front suspension and the motor mounts will attach i hid a heavy wall rectangle tube in case i go nuts and decide to big block it. the rear is a Thunderbird/cougar IRS (92 i think).
the whole thing it really heavy. the floor is 1/8th" as well. the cads no big thing. i drew it in plasma cam and scaled it up then i read how some bodies were stretched a little in the width and the seat area and figured that might be a good idea for me cause im not as small as i should be.

My windshield frame is still rough i just built it a couple of days ago and i need to refine it and build the inside trim. i wanted a duvall style and i didn't get as much rake as i wanted but i only bought a half sheet of aluminum at the swap meet so i'm gonna run with it for now. i'm saving my mad money for a front suspension. I still cant decide whether to go heidts or helix mustang2 or find a straight axel. i had planned to run a ranger twin ibeam and fab my own hair pins. i got the parts and fabbed up the cross member but even with dropped spindles and beams i could not get the front low enough for a decent stance so i tossed that stuff back into my ever expanding pile of ford goodies.

Thanks. it wont win any pageants and is far from original but i love hammerin on it. i'm building my louver press / english wheel and learning new technique as i go but my hats off to you for sticking to the original. keep tooling they come together slow but i think they're worth it.

Have you given any thought as to how you are going to cross the x swages on the floor panel? I see that they are not done yet, you can't just run across them with another swage. I hope this makes sense.
