Been a while since I've made any actual progress. Lately it seems like I've been just stripping stuff down, and cutting away rust and poor previous repairs so I can GET TO the progress! Well after making, and installing my crude, but overkill "B" pillar support I got to fitting my patch panel for the drivers side- I'm going to try to somewhat copy the original pillar on the inside, but in case I fail in some way, I made this bar to build it around, that ties in with another one that goes all the way up in the "B" pillar. The whole thing will tie in with the rear floor support structure I'm going to build into it. Then used this piece if fender for its edge- Cut weld grind till i got the right contour- Then I made this out of that same fender I made the doorjamb edge out of. That goes on tomorrow.
lol so that's what those clamps do , I'M such a noob I would have used tape and magnets or something. Guess i need's to get me some of those.
Yeah those clamps work great. DON'T buy them from eastwood or any of the other high dollar places though. These were $4.99 for 8 of them at Harbor Freight! Say what you want about their tools, but there are some tools where quality doesn't matter. This is one of those tools.
Very nice work. The fit is really great. Take that paint off before you weld though. Bad for the lungs.
