I have a Kennedy tool box. 1957 Had one person look at it. Its got tools in it also. Was a brother in laws. ??????????????
think I'll head there early am sat. I went once by chance in 06 and it was late sat afternoon and I saw some good deals. Going to keep an eye out on 15" old school torq thrusts
Too bad.... It's very easy to tell someone "Sorry that's what I need for it." and if they don't like it let em walk. But its very hard to draw in real buyers that think you stuff is way overpriced... Pate is too big for the games if it's too high I'll find something else to buy. The biggest issue is vendors that don't put prices on stuff!! If you want to sell it price it! It's a pain in the ass to try and find out what someone wants for something when a lot of times you have to track them down or they are talking to someone else, just to find out what they want for something. I'm there with cash in pockets ready to buy, but most of the time if I don't see a price I figure they want too much for it and I just move on.....
My Dad and I went Friday, and walked our butts off for almost 6 hours straight! It was our third time to go. It's great, but it's kinda overwhelming. I had to walk away from SEVERAL cars in the corral that I wanted so bad.
I walked my tail off. Got a few things made some contacts too. I didn't realize I was there 5 hrs! Couldn't spend much since I'm going after car today. Was sunburnt and worn out .
Sold almost everything we took to sell, sent a 38 Chevy to Sweden. Visited with Sid about a dropped axle. Saw lots of stuff, some nice and some not so nice. Anyone get a picture of the frame made from flat plates and chrome spacers, bolted together? All in all, a real good trip. Larry T
i saw that frame, but didnt take a picture. didnt want to waste my batterys on that scary lookin thing..
I found way too many good deals. I sold lots of stuff but still came home with way more than I left with. How about this benchtop Sun Dizzy machine for 50 bucks. Talked to lots of nice folks, met some new HAMB friends, and pissed off a few asshole vendors myself. Pate is what you make it.
a full two days??? haha Pate is a 5 day event! You gotta be there Tuesday evening and stay till at least noon on Sunday if you are serious I came across a vendor with a $50 price tag that was marked FIRM! on a set of oil/gas/water cans and paid so fast that my buddy wanted to know what I was doing. After I told him that reproductions were $185, he watched me sell the set for $150 Tripled my money
I stopped to look in a toolbox for wrenches and the vendor offered the box and everything in it for $15 Was that you?
Thanks Chris, I was gonna take a picture of it to show a buddy but I couldn't find it when I "went back" to look. Lots of of time and effort in the thing, but it sure looked like it had a lot of flex and twist built into it. Larry T

had a good time at Pate spent $100 more than I took with me............... My best friend and I walked around together I found an item for sale marked $50 FIRM I couldnt believe it at first and stood there with my mouth open, then whipped out my money so fast that my friend asked, "What was that about?" I told him that I was going to walk around with my purchase until someone gave me three times what I paid for it AND I DID!
