    Roll Call

This has been a great meet over the last few years, I’ve seen a lot more treasures coming to light.

If your setting up, what are you bringing,

Pate Swap Meet - Texas Motor Speedway 27-29 April 2023

Billed as the largest in the country and is a goldmine for vintage tin.

I'll be there, but just doing signs and gas globes. No parts this year.

Went last year, my friends are going again this year, but I inadvertently planned something else that week end! Like mentioned , this is a huge meet! No way can you see all of it! Most guys our age need a handicap scooter to get around. You cannot use golf carts. But they do have staff members in golf carts to haul parts that you buy. There is a ton of old stuff, but also newer stuff. Prices seem to be fair. I usually buy about as much as I sell! Lol :D

Going with 2 friends for our 4th trip. Not much really on my "want" list but I'm sure I'll find some things I can't live without. I just won't realize what I need until I see it. We're extending our time from 1 1/2 days to at least 2 full days, and might even go to 2 1/2 if determined necessary.

Are they going to have the extra 2000-ish spaces open again this year that they added last year because of an overflow of venders? We never even got to that area last year.

If you're looking for T and A parts, there's a surprising amount of vendors with them. Usually a lot of speed parts floating around too, but typically SBC or BBC for the most part. Remember that vendors can start showing up on Tuesday, and the best days for buying are Wednesday and Thursday in my opinion. By Friday evening most of the good stuff is gone and last year I'd say 30% of vendors were gone by Saturday morning. Shame, since the people who have to work M-F miss out on the deals, but that's the way it goes.

Been going for 15 ish years. I’ll be looking for random bits and pieces/tools/ shop decor. I’ll probably be sore from all the walking.

I really need to make one of these again. I remember going to the Pate swap meet about 40 years ago when it was at the Pate museum when I was being drug around with my dad. Seemed like it would never end and I didn’t like it until I had money to start looking for my own stuff. :D

I'll be there. Never been before but made it a priority to go this year. I'll be looking for some stuff for the 56. My youngest will be looking for Honda Trail 70 parts. I'm sure we'll find some other stuff we don't need but can't leave without.
