affraid to ask room rates there

Bah! Hell's bells, this one snuck up on me.

I need that fancy cloning technology to catch up so I can work in the shop and send the clone to the swap meet.

I'll be there, with a few of the guys from my truck club. We've got a couple of spots to sell our stuff and a place to hang out. We're all staying at the Super 8 in Denton.

I tried to find you last year Terry, but the damn rain had everything battoned down. Sounds like sunscreen this weekend.

 

The Pate Swap Meet did not sell out and move to the race track. After Mr. Pate, the patron of the Swap Meet(the space was leased to the swap meet for $1 a year) and the Pate Museum of Transportation, died, the family decided to sell the property to developers. It is now covered with homes. I think the Museum may still be there though.
The Pate Swap Meet owners (a consortium of restorer-oriented car clubs in Texas) were faced with finding a facility in a relative hurry, and the race track was what they found. After the first couple of years the meet was finally sorted out in its new location and seems to be prospering.

 

I got my sample of that stuff in the mail yesterday and it freaking rocks. to me it seems much more bendable and such than Dyna max stuff does. I will be ordering some soon if not just picking it up on Saturday.

 

I will be down with my 32 chassis and various assorted stuff 55 hood 56 hood 40 sedan door etc... see ya there............

Never been, but im gonna try to go up Saturday and Sunday, worse case just Sunday. Most of the good stuff will already be gone , i just need an excuse to get away from the house.

 

Well a swap meet is as good an excuse as they come. Sunday will be the day to make a last minute deal or two. Item priced to high for anyone to buy will be getting cheaper to they 'wont have to haul it home'.

 

Sunday is a waste of time ....

By 10:00 am 90% of the booths are empty

Most leave out Saturday @ 5:00 pm

Don't come if you can only make Sunday, you will be upset
