Take confortable shoes and lots of water. ITs a big mutha. Drop by and see us at 786 9th. Were heading out right after lunch today and making the 6 hour drive so we can get the camper set up today. Then unpacking and setting up Tomorrow AM.
I'll be there at the crack of dawn saturday dodging all the golfcarts and powerchairs. I'm hating this swapmeet more and more as the years go by...
drove by today .. It looks packed already ,,big storm headed this way tonight ..tighten up your pop up tarps !
leaving either thursday night or early friday. If I leave friday I'll be there around 8:00 a.m. staying till saturday night. Looking forward to seeing everyone!
20% chance for Saturday. I'll be there regardless. I missed Decatur and have been having withdrawals.
So a person couldn't bring a bicycle to ride I guess? I was going to "strategize" this year and make a quick round on bike then figure out where I want to spend my time. I get tired of walking 3 bus length just to get to a couple of spots on the end of an asile wasting all that precious time.
If the rules have not changed .. Thursday, they kind of let you goof around with golf carts, etc but .. Friday after 10am till 5:00 pm .. no bikes, no nothing other than those rascals Saturday 8:00 am to 5:00 rascals only
I will be there tomorrow setting up. Bringing my 4-door 49 Merc to sell and lots 49-51 Merc parts and other stuff. Spaces 786 and 788 on sixth street between Petty Place and Rutherford Road. Stop buy to look around or just talk. Ken
I can't stand guys whizzing around me on bikes. There are people walking all over the place, many with odd shaped sometimes large objects in hand that have to move so the guy on a bike can get through. Even worse are the middle aged guys on the scooters. I understand the disabled and elderly needing one...but the perfectly healthy 35 year old guy riding on a scooter is just lazy and in the way. If you're in a hurry to get it over with, just get there earlier.
Had a friend go get some spaces early today. He said it is filling up fast. Looks like it is gonna be a big turnout again
Argh! I'm missing it. Have to buckle down on some future planning and house repair stuff. Score some good deals out there guys!
The place is jammed full of stuff .. I'd guess it is the biggest ever , I'll try to shoot some pics tomorrow Hot / humid
The great supermodified builder "Jelly Wilhelm" will be out there somewhere. I'm going tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! no ,I'm not him.

Had a great time sold some quality preowned merchandise and met quite a few fellow hamber's. And I actually got a few parts for my coupe that I've been needing. O mister Bass I've still got that $40.00 rear crossmember, but I think did alright on my industrial hemi valvecovers!

Picked up for me: '69 Qjet some steel case SW gauges 3.50:1 9" pumpkin for the coupe And of course one of James Pfeffer's 2008 Pate tshirt for my collection And for a buddy in Albq. and his 35 Dodge PU project Old style 16 beer keg for his fuel tank (with about 2 gallon well aged beer left in it!) grill shell and this really cool Shiner Bock beer tap handle
